childrens book

With an inexplicable love for children's books, I once read an interview with picture book makers who said some of their books took years to create. At the time, that wasn't exactly the motivational quote I was looking for. Yet here I am, and it turns out they were right.

For years, I kept writing the same question in my notebook: Can I make a children's book? I wrote the story but the illustrations only lived in my head.
Five years later, I finally completed the first draft and entered The Unpublished Picturebook Showcase.

More Than Eyes Can See is a tender story about a blind bunny who's 'watching' the sunrise every morning. When a sceptical cat questions how that's possible, Bunny explains that some things don't need to be seen to be experienced and enjoyed.

The book was born during a period of personal loss and became a way for me to explore themes of presence, imagination, and the many ways we experience the world. At its heart, it is a story about finding beauty in things that cannot always be proven, measured, or seen, but are felt nonetheless.
